Kathleen has supported and will continue to support funding for education in STEM programs through the Balloon Museum. These programs include a robotics camp at the Museum and scholarships for 75 foster kids.
Kathleen joined other officials and Elevate the Spectrum of New Mexico to bring attention to the need for more understanding when it comes to interactions with people on the autism spectrum. The New Mexico Library Association (NMLA) honored Kathleen with their Legislator of the Year Award (made by Acoma artist Sherry L Aragon) for her work as a citizen and legislator supporting New Mexico’s public libraries.
Kathleen marched with Sandoval County Democrats down the main street of Corrales to cheering crowds.
